Driver CPC

Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) comes into effect on 10 September 2008 for PCV Drivers (bus and coach), and 10 September 2009 for lorry drivers (7.5T & HGV). The aims of the CPC are to improve road safety, recognise and accredit the knowledge and skills required for professional bus, coach and lorry drivers, ensure drivers continually update their skills and knowledge, raise the status of bus, coach and lorry drivers to promote driving as a career.

Anyone who holds a bus, coach or lorry licence on the start dates will have 'acquired rights' (grandfather rights) for the following 5 years and do not need to hold a Driver CPC during that period. However drivers will need to start working towards getting their Driver CPC periodic training if they wish to continue driving beyond those 5 years. 35 hours of periodic training has to be completed within the 5 year period.

If you require any further information, please contact The Driving Team on 01603 764044

Business As Usual

Unfortunately we had a fire in our building at 1 & 2 Saints Court on Saturday 17 May and we are not able to use that building at present.

For the time being our consultants are based in our offices at 38 Surrey Street (which is just the other side of the courtyard) and our post box is at 32 Surrey Street, which is the middle building in the courtyard.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01603 764044.

Contract Personnel were delighted to present a 10 Year Service Award to Mrs. Pauline Stewart who recently celebrated 10 years as a temporary worker with our Norwich Industrial team.

Since registering in 1997, Pauline has undertaken in excess of 300 temporary assignments for Contract Personnel and has become one of our best known and most relied upon temporary workers.

“Pauline is the ideal temporary worker” says Norwich Branch Manager Anna Parry. “She is able to turn her hand to a range of different roles, is 100% reliable and incredibly hard working and we often receive bookings specifically requesting Pauline”.

Over the years Pauline has been offered a number of permanent positions by client companies but has always declined. “I have a number of outside interests,” says Pauline, “and temporary work allows me the flexibility to enjoy my hobbies and interests as I wish”.
